Gun violence is on the rise in Colorado and nationwide. But the NRA has spent millions supporting candidates who block action at every turn. Their solution? Do nothing.
We deserve better than thoughts and prayers. That’s why Giffords PAC is proud to endorse Senator Michael Bennet for re-election. From expanding universal background checks to closing the boyfriend loophole, Senator Bennet has been a gun violence prevention champion in the United States Senate, and we need to send him back for another term fighting for commonsense solutions.
The vast majority of Coloradans, including gun owners, know we can and must do more to make our communities safer. In this conversation, you’ll hear from Giffords Gun Owners for Safety members who know that when it comes to gun ownership, rights and responsibilities go hand-in-hand. They’ll be joined by former congresswoman and gun violence survivor Gabby Giffords. The conversation will be moderated by Ryan Busse, a former firearms executive who saw firsthand how extreme the NRA has become and now advocates for gun safety laws as a Giffords Senior Advisor.
Colorado has taken bold action to combat rising gun violence. But we need action at the federal level. This fight is so urgent. We hope you can join us virtually for this important discussion.
