Voices of Hope: Crucial Conversations on Community Violence Prevention Strategies

Thursday, August 26
6–7:30 p.m. ET

Community violence has a devastating impact on families and communities across Pennsylvania—from cities like Philadelphia to suburban areas like York. But there’s hope in community-based strategies that are already saving lives on the ground.

This event will bring together local leaders from across the state to discuss community-based violence prevention and intervention programs (CVI). CVI programs provide a localized response to gun violence and help break cycles of violence while restoring peace and safety to impacted communities.

Panelists will highlight the need for sustainable solutions, including trauma-informed policy considerations, partnerships, funding and resources for community and hospital-based violence prevention and intervention programs.

PANELISTS

  • Rev. Alyn Waller, Senior Pastor, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church
