Gun violence is on the rise in Maryland and nationwide. The good news? Community-led approaches are proven to save lives. What they need is sustained investment.
That’s why Giffords PAC is proud to endorse Senator Chris Van Hollen for re-election. Senator Van Hollen has been a vocal supporter of community violence intervention initiatives that interrupt cycles of interpersonal violence. He has been a gun violence prevention champion in the United States Senate, and we need to send him back for another term fighting for these lifesaving solutions.
This conversation will include some of the people most involved in community violence intervention work on the ground in Maryland, and their perspectives will resonate nationwide. They’ll be joined by former congresswoman and gun violence survivor Gabby Giffords.
