Senator Barbara Favola has worked tirelessly to end gun violence and keep guns out of the hands of those who commit domestic abuse throughout her career. In office, Senator Favola has been a determined champion in the fight to reduce gun suicides and to close loopholes that have allowed far too many mass shootings to be carried out throughout the country. She believes that Virginians should be able to live, work, go to school, and worship free from the threat of senseless violence—and her work to expand universal background checks, close the gun show loophole, give localities the authority to ban open carry in public spaces, and enact extreme risk protection order laws have clearly shown that she’ll stop at nothing to keep her community safe. She understands that gun owners must play a key role in the debate around gun safety laws and is committed to finding commonsense solutions that will save lives without infringing on anyone’s rights. With our thin gun safety majority in the senate on the line this fall, it’s more important than ever that we reelect champions like Senator Barabra Favola in November.
