Delegate HalaAyala was elected to the House of Delegates in 2017, the first Afro-Latina to ever serve in Virginia’s State Legislature. Hala is the daughter of an immigrant and a lifelong Virginian. As a single mom of two, Hala worked her way up from a service job to become a cybersecurity specialist with top secret clearance for the Department of Homeland Security. For nearly 20 years, Hala has worked to protect our nation’s information systems, enforce security measures, and prevent attacks. We are proud to endorse Hala Ayala for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 2021.
