Gabby and Mark on the Tragedy in Colorado Springs

”We are saddened that a gun violence tragedy has once again visited the people of Colorado, who know the toll of gun violence all too well. Just a day after celebrating Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season with their loved ones, a shooting took innocent Coloradans and one of its law enforcement officers, and changed the lives of others forever. ”While we still don’t know all the details of what happened and why, as a country we must recognize the shameful reality that these kind of shootings simply don’t happen as often in other nations. We can do a lot better than this. We have to do better than this. ”We grieve for the Coloradans whose lives were cut short, and we are praying for strength for the injured and their families. We are also grateful to the first responders who put themselves in harm’s way so bravely and whose heroism undoubtedly helped save lives. Our thoughts are with the entire Colorado Springs community.”
