Gabby and Mark Respond to the Tragedy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Yet again, an American community has been shattered by a gun tragedy.
While we are still learning all the details of exactly what happened, we know this is an attack not just on law enforcement, but on an entire community as it seeks to heal divisions, build trust, and address its shared challenges. But just as they always do, this vicious attempt to divide Americans and communities will fail.
Today is also another sad reminder that our nation remains in the grips of a gun violence crisis that touches every community and everyone – those who wear the uniform, and those who do not.
We are praying for the law enforcement officers impacted by this tragedy, for their families, and for strength for the injured. And we are praying for peace and unity and healing in the Baton Rouge community.
