As a responsible gun owner, Adele McClure is passionate about reducing rates of gun violence in our communities. In Richmond, McClure will be a strong advocate for lifesaving measures that disarm domestic abusers, regulate assault weapons and large-capacity magazines, and bolster safe storage requirements, which will prevent children from accessing guns. She knows that gun violence is the leading cause of death for children and is a public health crisis. In office, McClure is determined to take a public health approach to gun violence prevention by investing in community-based intervention and prevention, mental health support, and Commonwealth-wide studies to collect data on the effects and root causes of this issue. This fall, we must flip the Virginia House of Delegates and elect champions like Adele McClure to enact these lifesaving changes.
