Delegate Charniele Herring has been a resident of Northern Virginia for over 30 years and has served as her community’s representative in the Virginia House of Delegates 46th District since 2009. Serving as the House Majority Leader, Delegate Herring has played a crucial role in passing gun safety bills through the chamber. She is the first African American woman from Northern Virginia to be elected in the Virginia legislature’s 400-year history and has been a leader for progress since her first day in office.
