Representative Chris Pappas has always put the people of New Hampshire first. Born and raised in Manchester, Congressman Pappas is a community-driven leader who has a record of addressing some of the Granite State’s most pressing challenges. As both a small business owner and former member of the New Hampshire Executive Council, he has earned a reputation as a results-driven leader and has dedicated his time in public service to putting people before politics in order to deliver opportunities for families in every community across his state. 

In Congress, Representative Pappas has brought this same style of leadership to the fight to end gun violence. Like so many in our movement, he knows that while gun violence claims lives everyday in our country, we are not powerless in our ability to keep our communities safe. He believes that we have a moral responsibility to act, and can do so while maintaining the culture of hunting and responsible gun ownership in New Hampshire. Congressman Pappas supports lifesaving measures, including implementing universal background checks on all gun sales and closing the Charleston Loophole, and he voted to pass the Bipartisan Background Checks Act and the Enhanced Background Checks Act in 2019 and 2021. In Congress, he has also supported legislation to keep firearms out of the hands of individuals who have committed domestic abuse by helping to pass the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization Act of 2021, and he has consistently supported funding gun violence research.

This race is one of the toughest in the country this cycle, and it is so important that we protect our gun safety majority in the House by reelecting Representative Pappas this November. We know that he has the courage to act to end gun violence, and the people of New Hampshire deserve a legislator like Congressman Chris Pappas who will always put their safety above all else.
