Jon Ossoff is no stranger to public service. He started his career as a national security aide to Congressman Hank Johnson before earning a Master’s degree at the London School of Economics. After graduating, he became an investigative documentarian and producer, traveling around the world to uncover stories about corruption. In 2017, he ran in a special election to represent his home district, a traditional Republican stronghold, in Congress. The race broke congressional fundraising records and he came within three points of winning.

This year, Jon is working to unseat an NRA-backed incumbent in his bid for the US Senate in Georgia.  Jon’s message resonated with Georgia voters, helping him force a runoff election in January 2021. On the campaign trail, Jon has bridged ideological divides with his commitment to bipartisan gun safety measures like universal background checks. Once elected, he will be a vital part of a growing gun safety caucus in the Senate.
