Delegate Joshua Cole knows the many challenges everyday Virginians in Fredericksburg, Stafford County, and Spotsylvania County face and what it means to truly serve his constituents. If given the chance to act as their voice in office for a second time, he’s determined to do everything in his power to keep his constituents safe from senseless gun violence. In 2019, Delegate Cole became the youngest person and the first Black person elected from the Fredericksburg region to the General Assembly—where he quickly proved himself to be a formidable champion in the push for commonsense gun reform. In the legislature, he voted to pass improved safe storage laws and mandatory background checks. Now, he wants to build on this lifesaving progress by working to keep weapons away from domestic abusers and to make sure schools can continue to be safe learning environments for our kids. In 2021, he lost his district by less than 1,000 votes in a difficult off-year election, and in 2023 it’s more important than ever that voters mobilize like never before and send this committed advocate back to Richmond.
We are proud to endorse Joshua Cole for the Virginia House of Delegates.
