Attorney General Mayes has also championed commonsense gun safety measures, including advocating for extreme risk protection laws, defending restrictions that keep handguns out of the hands of minors, withdrawing Arizona from litigation that would have weakened enforcement against ghost guns, and advancing legislation to strengthen penalties for criminal gun traffickers.
