Mike Feuer

US House California — 30th District Democrat
Challenger2024
Mike Feuer has been at the forefront of the gun safety movement for decades. In every role he’s served, from the Los Angeles City Council to the state legislature and most recently as Los Angeles city attorney, Feuer has made bolstering public safety and protecting innocent lives from America’s epidemic of gun violence a top priority.

Throughout his career, Feuer has consistently achieved real results on behalf of his constituents. As a state lawmaker in Sacramento, he wrote a first-in-the-nation bill requiring the microstamping of semiautomatic handguns, and at the local level, he authored numerous measures that banned high-capacity magazines, limited gun purchases to one per month, required trigger locks be sold with every firearm, and prohibited easily-concealable weapons. During his tenure as city attorney, Feuer co-founded and co-chaired Prosecutors Against Gun Violence, where he led efforts to create a state-by-state blueprint for disarming domestic abusers, preventing people who posed a threat to themselves or others from having access to guns, and opposing national legislation to dramatically expand the number of people allowed to carry concealed weapons in public. During this time, Feuer also created the City Attorney’s Gun Violence Prevention Unit, where he focused on promoting safe gun storage, and convened Los Angeles’s first comprehensive panel on school safety—which issued 33 recommendations on how to make local schools safer in the wake of the tragic mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

With so much work still to be done at the federal level to protect our communities from senseless violence, it’s clear we need someone with Mike Feuer’s level expertise on this issue in Congress. Voters across Southern California must send him to Washington DC to help craft the legislative solutions needed to save lives.

We are proud to endorse Mike Feuer for the US House of Representatives.
