State Representative Tanya Miller is a respected trial attorney, prosecutor, chair of the Georgia House Democratic Caucus, and a fierce advocate for everyday Georgians. Her career has been defined by one core principle—the law should serve people, not political interests—and she believes that a safe community is the foundation for a prosperous life. From the courtroom to the state capitol, Representative Miller has spent her life working to keep families safe and hold violent criminals accountable. When a crisis has hit her state—like after the tragedy at Apalachee High School in 2024—Representative Miller has urged her colleagues in the Georgia General Assembly time and again to act and end the gun violence crisis. While progress has been slow, she’s been undeterred, never tiring from sponsoring commonsense legislation to bolster safe storage requirements, expand background checks to all gun sales, and enact critically important extreme risk protection order laws that would disarm those who pose a threat to themselves or others. As attorney general, Representative Miller will continue this advocacy statewide and use every tool available to her office to fight illegal gun networks, stop the proliferation of untraceable ghost guns, and curb the gang violence tearing communities apart. She’ll also work to support local law enforcement by providing the resources, training, and assistance needed to solve crimes and protect our neighborhoods, while also pursuing legal action against gun manufacturers and dealers who knowingly supply illegal trafficking channels into Georgia.

If elected statewide, Representative Miller has pledged for her office to be a law firm for Georgians—because the law should be a shield that protects families and a tool that creates opportunity for everyone, not just the powerful and well-connected.
