Danniyal Ahmed is a state and federal policy attorney at GIFFORDS Law Center. As a part of his work, Danniyal provides legal and policy analysis to help advance gun safety laws, policies, and programs.

He previously worked for Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) on the Senate Judiciary Committee, served as counsel for the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism at the House Committee on Homeland Security, and worked as legislative director for Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (D-PA). Danniyal earned his BA from Ohio State University and his JD from George Washington University Law School.
