Emma Silver joined GIFFORDS in 2023 as a federal affairs manager. In her role she liaises with congressional staff, lawmakers, and other gun safety organizations to help them connect and work together on matters of policy, press, endorsements, and research, with the goal of ensuring that gun violence prevention has a voice in Congress and the White House. Emma obtained her BA from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining GIFFORDS, she worked on Capitol Hill, where she handled issues including gun violence prevention, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive justice, healthcare, and women’s issues.
