Ethan Murray joined GIFFORDS Law Center as a state policy attorney in 2024 and serves as the lead policy attorney for California, Oregon, and Washington. As a part of his work, Ethan drafts and analyzes state legislation, works with legislators to pass bills that will prevent gun violence and support survivors, and strives to ensure those laws are implemented effectively.

Prior to joining GIFFORDS Law Center, Ethan worked in litigation at a mid-sized law firm and on gun violence prevention policy for California State Senator Catherine Blakespear. Ethan holds a BS from Texas Christian University, and a dual-Master’s in Public Policy and Juris Doctor from Georgetown University. He also was a Fulbright-Nehru grant recipient.
