First Lady Jill Biden to Speak at GIFFORDS Law Center Celebration

Washington DC — Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords announced on Tuesday that First Lady Jill Biden will attend GIFFORDS Law Center’s 30th Anniversary celebration on June 13, 2023, in San Francisco, California. 

“I am thrilled my friend Dr. Jill Biden will join us as we recognize GIFFORDS Law Center’s incredible work,” said former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. “President Biden has done more to fix our broken gun laws than any president in decades, and he understands how much hard work remains. I am proud to stand alongside the Bidens as we work together to keep people safe from gun violence.”

GIFFORDS Law Center began its work as the Legal Community Against Violence (LCAV) after eight people were murdered during the 101 California Street massacre at the San Francisco law firm Pettit & Martin in 1993.
