Gabby Giffords Responds to Shooting at Trump Rally

WASHINGTON DC — Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, founder of the national gun violence prevention organization GIFFORDS, released the following statement following reports of a shooting at a campaign rally for former president Donald Trump.

“Political violence is terrifying. I know,” said former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “I’m holding former president Trump, and all those affected by today’s indefensible act of violence in my heart. Political violence is un-American and is never acceptable—never.”
