Nico Bocour is the vice president of state affairs at GIFFORDS, where she oversees GIFFORD’S comprehensive and coordinated state-based strategy that organizes key stakeholders across priority states and involves almost every facet of the organization’s work, including policy, engagement, community violence intervention, political, government affairs, research, implementation and litigation programs.

Previously, Nico served as the government affairs director at GIFFORDS and has worked in state capitols across the country, bringing together lawmakers, experts, and stakeholders to advance legislative priorities. Prior to joining GIFFORDS, she worked in Trenton, New Jersey, spearheading efforts to pass legislation to prevent gun violence in the Garden State. Nico is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and received her JD from Seton Hall Law School in Newark, New Jersey.
