Robert Gipson
Litigation and Survivor Advocacy Fellow, GIFFORDS Law Center
Robert Gipson II is the litigation and survivor advocacy fellow at GIFFORDS Law Center. As a member of GIFFORDS Law Center’s litigation team, Robert developed a survivor advocacy program that provided civil legal services to victims of gun violence. Robert complemented this direct advocacy by drafting legislation to modernize victim compensation laws, composing resources for legal and allied professionals, and mapping violent crime legal services across the country.
Previously, Robert was the first legal victim advocate at the Resiliency & Justice Center (formerly known as the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center)—a multidisciplinary community hub founded to serve the survivors of the Las Vegas mass shooting and other violent crimes. Following this role, Robert became a Rappaport Fellow in Law and Public Policy and worked on public safety issues under Boston Mayor Michelle Wu.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada (UNLV) after attending community college and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Robert also earned a Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law.
