Spencer Myers
State and Local Policy Attorney, GIFFORDS Law Center
Spencer Myers joined GIFFORDS Law Center in 2024 as a state and local policy attorney. In this role he drafts and analyzes state level legislation and works with lawmakers and advocates across the country to enact policies preventing all forms of gun violence and providing support to survivors and communities. Spencer obtained his BA from the University of California, Davis and his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. After law school he worked as a fellow at the Alliance for Justice, where he analyzed the records of judicial nominees, and as a counsel for the American Association for Justice, where he worked on legislative efforts to ensure accountability within the firearm industry.
