Jessie Ojeda

Guns & Democracy Attorney Fellow, Giffords Law Center
Jessie Ojeda joined Giffords in 2023 as the guns and democracy attorney fellow. As part of the State & Local Policy team, she provides legal and policy analysis in support of legislation across the country. Through her work with the Guns & Democracy project—which is dedicated to confronting the threat armed violence poses to our democracy and its institutions—she provides evidence-based research, authors reports, and assists in developing new legal models and draft legislation.

Before joining Giffords, Jessie served as a fellow for Councilmember Brianne Nadeau with the DC City Council where she covered a human services portfolio. She earned her BA in history from the University of Michigan and a JD from the George Washington University Law School.
