Giffords Endorses Senator Patty Murray for the US Senate
WASHINGTON, DC — Giffords PAC, the gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, announced today it is endorsing Senator Patty Murray for re-election to the US Senate. Senator Murray is a dedicated public servant, with an exemplary record of fighting on behalf of her constituents to keep them safe from gun violence. As the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, Senator Murray secured the first dedicated funding to research the causes and impacts of gun violence in over twenty years. This historic allocation conveyed to public health institutions that not only was research into gun violence allowed—it was necessary.
