GIFFORDS PAC endorses key battleground champions running for reelection to Congress

WASHINGTON — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, announced its endorsement of 19 incumbent gun safety champions who are running for reelection to the US House in some of the most important battleground seats in the nation. These candidates are all members of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s Frontline Program, and their victories in next November’s midterm elections will be crucial in reestablishing a gun safety House majority in the 120th Congress. 

Throughout their years of service in office, these champions have all been strong proponents of lifesaving commonsense gun safety laws like universal background checks, safe storage requirements, extreme risk protection order laws, and funding community violence intervention programs—and their voices will be crucial in moving these policies across the finish line at the federal level in the years to come.
