Gabby Giffords joins Jocelyn Benson and Christina Hines for community conversation on public safety in Macomb County

Detroit  –  Former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, the co-founder of the national gun violence prevention group GIFFORDS, joined Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for Governor Jocelyn Benson, Democratic nominee for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District Christina Hines and local leaders for a community conversation on public safety and affordability.

“As Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson has led on public safety and fought to protect Michiganders from armed political violence. As governor, she will build on that momentum and fight to save lives from gun violence while protecting Michigan children and creating safer communities across the state,” said former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “We need to work together to make Jocelyn Benson Michigan’s next governor, and to elect gun safety champions like her and Christina Hines up and down the ballot in November.”
