GIFFORDS PAC announces new ad in nearly $1M investment to elect Elaine Luria in VA-02

WASHINGTONGIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization, founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, released its second ad in a $850,000 investment in the race to represent Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, as part of its $10 million commitment to electing and supporting gun safety champions in 2026. The campaign will focus on communicating to women and swing voters digitally and on Norfolk broadcast in opposition to Rep. Jen Kiggans’ track record supporting dangerous policies to reward her gun lobby donors. Last week, GIFFORDS PAC released its first ad, “On the Line.”

“Jen Kiggans takes campaign cash from the gun lobby and votes to protect their bottom line instead of Virginia schools. She votes to make it easier for dangerous people to access guns — that puts kids and communities at risk,” said GIFFORDS Executive Director Emma Brown. “Virginians deserve a member of Congress who puts their safety first, not their donors.”

TRANSCRIPT:

Caroline T.: I’ll never forget how it felt when I saw my daughter’s text that there was a shooter in the school — praying she’d stay safe. And thankfully, she did.

So it stopped me cold when I heard that Jen Kiggans sided with the gun lobby — voting against tougher gun laws, giving criminals and dangerous people easier access to guns. How do you look a parent in the eye after that?

I don’t trust Kiggans with my kids’ safety and neither should you.
