VICTORY: Gun safety champion Amish Shah elected to U.S. House in AZ-01

WASHINGTON —  GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, congratulated Amish Shah on his election to the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Arizona’s 1st Congressional District.

“Congratulations to Dr. Shah on his election victory. I’m thrilled that voters in AZ-01 will have a gun safety champion and a public health expert representing them in Washington,” said former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “From his time as an emergency room physician to his years in the Arizona House, Congressman-elect Shah knows firsthand the devastation gun violence causes our communities and has dedicated himself to building a safer future . GIFFORDS looks forward to partnering with the congressman-elect as he works across the aisle to tackle the gun violence epidemic.”

GIFFORDS PAC was proud to endorse Dr. Shah’s campaign, and former Congresswoman Giffords appeared with Shah in the closing days of the race to rally Arizona voters to go to the polls.
