GIFFORDS PAC Endorses Ruben Gallego for US Senate

Washington DC — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, endorsed Arizona Congressman Ruben Gallego for the US Senate. 

“I am thrilled to endorse my friend Ruben Gallego to be our state’s next U.S. Senator and serve alongside Mark. Tens of thousands of Arizona families —including mine—have seen the horror of near-constant shootings up close, that’s why GIFFORDS needs partners like Ruben Gallego in Washington to stand up to the gun lobby and support commonsense safety measures. Our country needs elected officials who will make listening and leading, not partisan fighting, their priority. I urge my fellow Arizonans to join me in working hard to elect Ruben this fall.”

As a responsible gun owner himself, Congressman Gallego knows that we can pass the commonsense gun safety laws that the vast majority of Arizonans want to see implemented without infringing on constitutional rights. In the US House, Congressman Gallego has fought to do just that by cosponsoring and voting for lifesaving legislation like the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, the Assault Weapons Ban, and Ethan’s Law. In 2022, he also joined colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the first major gun safety legislation signed into law in nearly 30 years.
