GIFFORDS PAC announces nearly $1M investment to elect Curtis Hertel in MI-07
WASHINGTON — Today, the national gun violence prevention organization GIFFORDS, founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, announced a $900,000 investment in the race to represent Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, as part of its $15 million commitment to electing and supporting gun safety champions in 2024. The campaign will focus on communicating to women in Lansing and will include broadcast, cable and digital ads opposing Tom Barrett’s extreme agenda.
“Tom Barrett’s dangerous agenda puts Michiganders’ rights and freedoms at risk. He would let dangerous people carry loaded guns in our communities, no questions asked. And he even tried to criminalize women who needed medical care and sought an abortion,” said GIFFORDS Executive Director Emma Brown. “Keeping our schools and communities safe is a top priority for Michiganders, and that requires leaders who will stand up to the gun lobby and put the people of Michigan first.”
