GIFFORDS PAC endorses slate of top gubernatorial candidates in key races

WASHINGTON — GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization led by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, released the following statement endorsing three candidates in key gubernatorial races across the country. GIFFORDS PAC is endorsing Phil Weiser (CO), Keisha Lance Bottoms (GA), and Hannah Pingree (ME) in each of their respective races for governor.

“I’m proud to endorse this slate of remarkable leaders as they each run for governor. All three of these champions have demonstrated incredible leadership in the fight to save lives from gun violence. As governors, I know that they will always push to enact the kinds of commonsense solutions that will drive down crime and keep dangerous weapons off our streets,” said Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “From Colorado to Georgia, voters who want to see safer neighborhoods, streets, and schools should head to the polls this November in support of these gun violence prevention champions.
