WASHINGTON — GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization, founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, released its second ad in a $700,000 investment in the race to represent California’s 22nd Congressional District as part of its $10 million commitment to electing and supporting gun safety champions in 2026. Last week, the organization announced its first ad in the district, “Dedicated.”
“People in the Central Valley just want to feel safe, but David Valadao sides with his gun lobby donors to make it easier for dangerous people, like domestic abusers, to access guns. More illegal guns on the streets puts our communities and our police at risk,” said GIFFORDS PAC Executive Director Emma Brown. “Voters are sick and tired of politicians who do favors for donors in Washington even when it hurts folks back home. Central Valley families need a voice like Randy Villegas in Congress who will fight for their safety, not gun lobby profits.”

Abel: I joined the Marines to fight for my country and to protect the people to my left, and to my right. So it feels like a betrayal when politicians like David Valadao put us in danger.
Valadao took thousands from the gun lobby then voted to weaken gun laws, giving criminals and domestic abusers easier access to guns.
I was willing to risk my life to serve this country. But David Valadao? Won’t even risk losing a dollar.
