GIFFORDS celebrates gun safety trifecta in Arizona

WASHINGTON — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the gun safety organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, celebrated the reelection of Governor Katie Hobbs and Democratic victories in the Arizona House of Representatives and Senate that paved the way to a majority in both chambers for the first time in 60 years. 

“I am incredibly proud of my home state and excited for its future. Arizona has seen too much senseless gun violence, and years of Republican control of the state legislature has stalled lifesaving reform. But voters have spoken, and it’s clear they want leaders who will enact commonsense gun safety laws,” said former Congresswoman GabrielleGiffords. “We congratulate all the GIFFORDS PAC–endorsed candidates who held and flipped important seats in Arizona. I have full faith that Governor Hobbs will build on the progress she’s already made for Arizona families and she will work to create a safer future for the Grand Canyon State.
