GIFFORDS celebrates gun safety trifecta in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the gun safety organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, celebrated the reelection of Governor Josh Shapiro and Democratic victories in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate that paved the way to a majority in both chambers for the first time since 1993. 

“This is a major victory for public safety in Pennsylvania — a state that has experienced too much senseless gun violence. With last night’s wins, where Democrats expanded their House gun safety majority and reestablished their Senate majority, Governor Shapiro will continue the critical work being done to save lives in the state and put public safety ahead of partisan politics. We’re excited to get to work to finish the job on a number of issues and we know a safer future is coming to the Keystone State,” said former Congresswoman GabrielleGiffords.
