VICTORY: Gun safety champion Kris Mayes reelected as Arizona’s attorney general

WASHINGTON —GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, congratulated Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes on her reelection.

“Congratulations to my friend, Attorney General Kris Mayes, on her well-earned reelection,” said former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “Attorney General Mayes has consistently fought for the safety of our state — taking on illegal gun trafficking, defending commonsense gun safety laws and standing up to the gun lobby. GIFFORDS looks forward to continuing our work together to stop gun violence.”

GIFFORDS PAC endorsed Mayes and campaigned with her at a roundtable with End Citizens United. In the final days leading up to the election, former Congresswoman Giffords campaigned alongside Mayes in an effort to get out the vote in Arizona.
