VICTORY: Gun safety champion Christina Hines elected to the U.S. House in MI-10
WASHINGTON — GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, congratulated Christina Hines on her election to represent Michigan’s 10th Congressional District. GIFFORDS PAC invested $1 million in MI-10 as part of its $10 million commitment to electing and supporting gun safety champions in 2026.
“Congratulations to Christina Hines on flipping this seat. We were proud to stand with her, and I am thrilled that voters across the 10th District made their voices heard and decided to send a strong gun safety champion to Washington,” said former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “I spent a lot of time with Christina and I know she has the courage to stand up to the gun lobby and keep guns out of the wrong hands. GIFFORDS was proud to be an early supporter of her campaign and, as a career prosecutor who worked tirelessly to keep families safe, we look forward to working with her in Congress to enact commonsense gun safety reforms that will save lives.”
GIFFORDS PAC invested $1 million in MI-10, and former Congresswoman Giffords took multiple trips to the district this cycle, co-hosting a forum with Hines on gun violence in Mount Clemens in February and mobilizing voters alongside her throughout the district this fall. The organization aired several advertisements in this district in the lead up to Election Day, including “Earn It” and “Decades.”
