Our niece Evelyn Dieckhaus is a beautiful light catcher. She died at the age of nine in a school shooting in Nashville on March 27, 2023.
With her spirit and strength, we will firmly focus on the promotion of, education of, and passing of bipartisan commonsense gun laws that will protect our children.

About Wine Country Unites
Friday, June 7, falls on National Gun Violence Awareness Weekend. For this day last year we enlisted an incredible group of friends—wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, wine shops and distributors—to do what they can to raise money and awareness on this day to support gun reform in honor of Evelyn. We were able to raise more than $120,000.
As we’ve taken the time over the last year to dig in and learn more—with the help of GIFFORDS and other advocates—we firmly know and believe that the right kind of change is on the horizon. This is why we want to make this an annual event and push for this change to happen as quickly as possible.
Most participants will be donating $10 of every bottle of wine sold on that day to GIFFORDS Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, the leading national gun violence prevention organization in America. Others will have their own format to raise money, so please scan the list below for your favorite folks and buy from them on June 7. It makes a difference.
