30th ANNIVERSARY Celebration

Join us on June 13 at Pier 27 in San Francisco to honor our founding and recommit to our mission of building an America free of gun violence.

30 years ago, we vowed to fight for a safer america

Following the devastating mass shooting at 101 California Street, the San Francisco legal community came together to demand change.

Three decades and hundreds of gun laws later, Giffords Law Center remains committed to saving lives.

On June 13, our community will come together to support our work, honor our founding, and recognize courageous leaders.

We can’t wait to see you there.

Pier 27, San Francisco

Thirty years ago, a gunman stormed into San Francisco law firm Pettit & Martin, killing eight people and injuring six others. In the wake of this tragedy, the Bay Area legal community banded together to improve the state’s gun laws. Today, Giffords Law Center is a leader in the national gun violence prevention movement, and California has some of the strongest gun laws in the country.

Every year, our supporters gather to honor those we lost at the 101 California Street shooting and the thousands of Americans who die from gun violence annually. We reflect on the past and look ahead to the challenges and opportunities to come—and remember that we wouldn’t be where we are today without your support.
