April McClain Delaney is committed to making sure Maryland families have an advocate in Congress who will always fight for what’s right. Drawing on a blend of public and private sector work, she is prepared to leverage her experience and address challenges through a commonsense, common-ground approach—including on some of the most intractable issues facing Marylanders, like gun violence.

If elected to serve the constituents of Maryland’s Sixth District, Delaney will always stand on the side of everyday Americans who are horrified by the unacceptable levels in our communities, and stand up to the corrupt interests of the corporate gun lobby. As a mother of four daughters, she rightly views gun violence as a national crisis and a public health epidemic that is putting our kids at risk, and believes that no one should be afraid to send their child to school or go to work. On Capitol Hill, Delaney will proudly support measures to implement universal background checks, limitations on assault weapons, and sensible safe storage requirements. She’ll also be a strong advocate for legislation to disarm domestic abusers, implement lifesaving red flags laws, and address the epidemic of gun suicide.

With a gun safety majority in the House hanging in the balance of this fall’s elections, it is imperative that we hold every open seat on the map in November—starting with Maryland’s Sixth District.
