Brian Fitzpatrick

US House Pennsylvania — 1st District Republican
Representative Brian Fitzpatrick believes that every American should have a fair shot at success, and that those who work hard should be able to live a fulfilled life. These values have guided his work in Congress, where he serves as co-chairman of the Problem Solvers Caucus—a group of representatives committed to finding bipartisan solutions to our nation’s most pressing issues, including America’s epidemic of gun violence.

Representative Fitzpatrick’s work in Washington is informed by his years of service to the United States at home and abroad. For nearly 15 years, Representative Fitzpatrick served as an FBI supervisory special agent, where he supported global counterterrorism efforts and was embedded with US Special Forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom. At home, he also helped stem high rates of violence and prosecute violent drug and gun offenders as a special assistant United States attorney.

Since he was first elected by the residents of his hometown, Representative Fitzpatrick has led the fight to end gun violence with courage and conviction, even when it wasn’t politically advantageous. In 2019 and 2021, he was an original cosponsor of the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, and voted to pass lifesaving legislation to close the Charleston loophole and to keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of those who commit domestic abuse. In 2022, he played a key role in passing some of the most wide-ranging gun safety legislation to ever come to the House floor, including the Protecting Our Kids Act and the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act—the latter of which was the first federal gun safety legislation to pass in nearly 30 years.

Representative Fitzpatrick believes our nation’s laws should support responsible gun ownership, but he understands that there is no higher responsibility for leaders than to keep our communities safe. Our elected officials must put partisan politics aside and focus on the important work of protecting everyday Americans from gun violence. Leaders like Representative Brian Fitzpatrick aren’t afraid to put their reputations on the line to save lives—and because of this unwavering commitment to his constituents, we must send him back to Congress next year to continue advocating for commonsense solutions. With him leading the way, we can build a safer Pennsylvania for the next generation.

We are proud to endorse Brian Fitzpatrick for the US House of Representatives.
