Jake Auchincloss

US House Massachusetts — 4th District Democrat
Throughout his career, Congressman Jake Auchincloss has made service to his country and giving back to others his top priorities. As a Marine, he slept, ate, trained, and patrolled with an assault weapon for four years, and risked his own safety on behalf of our nation. Now, he’s continuing to give back to his community by fighting for the safety of his constituents once again in Congress, where he’s worked tirelessly to strengthen America’s gun laws and build a better future for the next generation, including his own children.

Congressman Auchincloss knows that weapons of war have no place on our streets or near our schools, and he understands that we all must do more to stop the senseless shootings that have torn too many families across Massachusetts apart. In office, Congressman Auchincloss has been a strong champion for lifesaving policies like universal background checks, a national assault weapon ban, extreme risk protection order laws, and a repeal of dangerous measures that give the gun industry unfair liability from legal action. In 2022, he also joined with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass the first major gun safety legislation in nearly 30 years: the landmark Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

Knowing the dangers that unsecured firearms can play in driving suicides and accidental injuries or deaths, Congressman Auchincloss has led an annual appropriations letter since coming to Capitol Hill in support of safe storage policies, in which he asks the Department of Education to provide grant money for school districts to send info about safe storage to parents and guardians in an effort to incentivize them to lock up their weapons. In addition to his advocacy in DC, Congressman Auchincloss is leading the fight to save lives from gun violence on the campaign trail as well. In 2024, he launched Beyond Thoughts & Prayers PAC, whose primary goal is to elect new, young gun safety champions to office.

With so much on the line this fall, it’s imperative that voters from Newton to Fall River mobilize like never before to reelect Congressman Jake Auchincloss in November. With him leading the way in a new gun safety majority, we know that a future free from gun violence is possible. We owe it to our children and grandchildren to achieve this reality, and we know Congressman Jake Auchincloss will be a leader in the fight to finally do so.

We are proud to endorse Jake Auchincloss for the US House of Representatives.
