As an attorney and Marine Corps veteran, Josh Thomas has always put service to others first. Now, he’s continuing to serve his community in a new way—by fighting to keep children and families across Virginia safe from gun violence. Thomas knows that every Virginian deserves to live their lives without the daily fear of being shot and, like so many in this movement, he finds it unacceptable that Governor Youngkin and Republicans in Richmond refuse to take any of the commonsense actions needed to end the violence plaguing communities across the Commonwealth. If elected, he’ll fight to enact meaningful changes that will help create a safer Virginia for our children without infringing on the rights of responsible gun owners, including measures to strengthen background checks, incentivizing the safe storage of firearms, and keeping guns away from those that pose a threat to themselves or others. Now more than ever, we need proven leaders like Josh Thomas, who can cut through the noise of politics and offer new perspectives in Richmond.
