As a lifelong resident of Suffolk and as a member of the Suffolk School Board, Karen Jenkins developed a proven track record of helping children and families. Karen knows that gun safety is a top concern for residents in her district and that more must be done to curtail the Commonwealth’s epidemic of gun violence so that no more families have to mourn the loss of a sister, brother, parent, or child. If elected to the House of Delegates, she will be an advocate for commonsense solutions like increasing funding for community violence intervention programs, strengthening safe storage laws, and disarming domestic abusers. With control of the House of Delegates on the line this fall, voters must elect new gun safety champions, like Karen Jenkins, to office. With her helping to lead the way on this issue in a new majority, a safer future for every child in Virginia will be within reach.
