Katie Sponsler has dedicated her life to public service. She joined the US Air Force in 2001 and served on active duty for six years before returning home to enlist in the reserves and get an education. Her goal of becoming a park ranger for the National Park Service came true in 2011, when she moved to Virginia to work at the Petersburg National Battlefield. Katie has continually proven her commitment to her communities, and as a delegate she will use her unique perspective to ensure smart, safe gun violence prevention laws are passed.
