Stella Pekarsky believes that no Virginian should have to worry about losing their life, or their loved ones, to gun violence. If elected to the Senate, she’ll work to pass meaningful legislation to keep communities across the Commonwealth safe. While serving on the Fairfax County School Board, Pekarsky worked to ban guns from all school-owned property and invest hundreds of millions of dollars in critical infrastructure upgrades to keep schools safer. In the Senate, she will work to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, end concealed carry reciprocity for out-of-state gun owners, and fully fund lifesaving community violence intervention programs. With Republicans in the legislature eager to roll back progress on gun safety, it’s more important than ever that we send more gun safety champions to Richmond, like Stella Pekarsky—we know that with her leading the way, real progress in the fight to end gun violence will be possible.
