Delegate Suhas Subramanyam has dedicated his life to serving his community and solving some of the biggest challenges facing Virginia—including the Commonwealth’s epidemic of gun violence. In Richmond, Delegate Subramanyam has worked tirelessly to strengthen our gun laws, even introducing unique legislation to allow school boards to restrict firearms on school-owned property. Like so many in this fight, he knows that we owe the next generation—including his own two daughters—the chance to live free from the threat of senseless violence. His work in the House of Delegates to expand universal background checks and enact extreme risk laws have clearly shown that he’ll stop at nothing to keep his community safe and get guns out of the hands of those who seek to do harm to themselves or others. Now, Delegate Subramanyam is running for the Virginia Senate, where he’ll be a much-needed voice in the fight to save lives. With our thin gun safety majority in the upper chamber on the line this fall, it’s more important than ever that we elect champions like Delegate Suhas Subramanyam to office in November.
