Bob Mokos

Chair, Minnesota chapter of Giffords Gun Owners for Safety
Bob Mokos is the chair of the Minnesota chapter of Giffords Gun Owners for Safety. He learned gun safety from qualified instructors and shot on a rifle team for about five years. Later in life, as an airline pilot, Bob was trained by former Federal Air Marshals and became a Federal Flight Deck Officer, which qualified him to carry a gun in the cockpit. Bob believes that the NRA is no longer the gun safety and sportsman organization it once was, and that responsible gun owners like him need to speak out against the extremist positions the NRA now takes. As a veteran, he is appalled by the NRA’s interpretation of the Second Amendment. Bob also lost his sister to gun violence and has testified in front of the Minnesota legislature.
