Vic Bencomo
President, Colorado Gun Owners for Safety
Vic Bencomo is a father, veteran, and gun violence prevention activist based in Denver, Colorado. He was introduced to firearms when he joined the military at age 17. At 21, Bencomo bought his first gun and began to hunt, an activity he now shares with his sons. As a veteran, he is concerned with the number of veterans who commit suicide each year and the lack of laws to intervene. As the president of the Colorado chapter of Giffords Gun Owners for Safety, Vic hopes to see gun owners unite in the conversation around guns to change policy.
