GIFFORDS Condemns Abbott’s Gun Death Rates As He Speaks at NRA Convention
GIFFORDS Texas offers a path of action for the majority who want gun safety reform
Washington DC — Today, GIFFORDS, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, called out Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s dangerous public safety policies as he spoke at the National Rifle Association (NRA) convention. Under his governorship, gun deaths surged by 63% in Texas.
Earlier this week, GIFFORDS Texas launched to engage communities impacted by gun violence and expand its mission to save lives in the Lone Star State.
